At the same time, we will also present the work of the recipient of the first Sylvie and Simon Blais Award for Emerging Visual Artists, Karen Zalamea, a Concordia University student. Entitled WORK WORK WORK, this exhibition utilizing photography, video and sculpture culminates the investigations this emerging artist has carried out to complete her MFA program. In it Karen Zalamea explores the body as a tool for work, which performs repetitive gestures and exertions, and inescapably becomes transformed in the process.
