Michel Campeau at the National Gallery of Canada

Oct. 18, 2013 - Jan. 5, 2014

In this exhibition, Campeau—poet, archeologist, and photo-documenter—presents the quickly disappearing world of analog photography through its obsolescent remains: darkrooms and their paraphernalia, film cameras, and photography manuals. The stunning photographs reveal spaces and objects transformed by personal need and circumstance, prompting reflection on the industry’s deep cultural significance, and the repercussions of its loss.

Organized by the National Gallery of Canada.
