Every year, the Société professionnelle des auteurs, compositeurs du Québec et des artistes entrepreneurs (SPACQ) Foundation pays tribute to Quebec authors, composers, and performers by awarding them cash prizes to honour them and support their creative work.
To mark the 20th anniversary of its Gala, the Foundation asked 21 Quebec lyricists and singer-songwriters to write an excerpt from a memorable song from their repertoire to be auctioned off.
The task of enhancing these handwritten works was given to world-renowned multidisciplinary artist Marc Séguin, who has been collaborating with the SPACQ for many years.
