Galerie Simon Blais is pleased to announce its collaboration with Heffel Fine Art Auction House to present a curated group of exceptional artworks at auction. Presented through Heffel’s Online Auction Partnerships (HO2) platform, the sale is divided into two dedicated sessions – Op Art, this collection of works is taken from the exhibition Espaces optiques currently visible on the Gallery's website and featuring renowned artists such as Guido Molinari and Jacques Hurtubise, among others, and Post-War & Contemporary Art, highlighted by Joan Mitchell, Jean Paul Riopelle, Marcelle Ferron and many more.
The auction closes on May 14, 2020.
As a reminder, Espaces optiques highlights artists such as Jacques Hurtubise, Yves Gaucher, Denis Juneau, Claude Tousignant and Guido Molinari, who all made use of optical processes in respect to form, colour and light, as well as those by Peter Daglish, Marcel Barbeau and Jean Goguen.

«Pour sa première bédé à vie créée sur un thème imposé — les mots « J’aurais voulu » —, Isabelle Guimond a plongé dans ses espoirs brisés à la manière d’un journal intime. La survie, l’affect, l’ego, tout y passe, avec un rendu plus fin que celui de ses peintures.»
Current circumstances have prompted Galerie Simon Blais to postpone the vernissage originally scheduled for Saturday, March 21.
Please note, however, that we will remain open to the public according to our usual schedule. As well, we will be monitoring the recommendations made by municipal, provincial and national health authorities on a daily basis and will take the necessary measures. We look forward to seeing you in the gallery and will let you know the new opening date as soon as possible!
