ART AFRICAIN:
INSEPARABLE - BINARIES IN TRIBAL ART
In its 8th annual exhibition devoted to tribal art, Galerie Simon Blais presents a collection of “inseparable” masks and statuettes, pairs or “couples” of classic objects sculpted by the Lobi, Dogon, Baule and Tellem peoples of Africa, as well as by those of Western Nepal. These major works, which the gallery has collected over the last ten years, can be seen, as well as bought, by the public during its traditional summer exhibition.
